Аналіз мистецтвознавчих розвідок художнього життя різних мистецьких осередків України показує, що особливістю культурно-історичного та мистецького процесів досліджуваних регіонів було те, що західні регіони України до 30-х років XX ст. входили до складу декількох європейських держав і знаходилися під впливом європейських мистецьких течій, у той час як південні та східні області належали до Російської імперії, а згодом Радянського союзу і мали спільне з ними культурно-мистецьке поле. На художнє життя кожного з осередків впливав як загальний історико-культурний процес окремого регіону, так і місцеві тенденції. Метою статті є висвітлення стану дослідженості художнього життя України як в цілому, так і окре- мих регіонів, виявлення відмінностей мистецьких процесів. Згідно мети, дана стаття є аналізом наукового спадку із зазначеної теми. Проаналізовано наукові джерела 1980 – 2021 рр., часового проміжку найбільш активного висвітлення теми. Особливу увагу приділено дослідженням, здійсненим за роки незалежності України, коли перед укра- їнським мистецтвознавством постали завдання створення об’єктивної історії розвитку національної школи мистецтва. ARTISTIC LIFE OF UKRAINE IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES OF UKRAINIAN ART HISTORIANS The article analyzes the thorough generalizing and related studies that cover the artistic life of artistic centers of Ukraine from the XVI century to the present day and reveals such features of the art life as the formation and development of art education, artistic phenomena, and events, the activities of individual artists and art societies, the development of art criticism, the foundation and activities of museums and galleries, as well as the regional originality of the artistic process of each region under study. The analysis of art historical scientifc works that study the artistic life of various artistic centers of Ukraine shows that the peculiarity of the cultural, historical, and artistic processes of the studied regions was that the western regions of Ukraine until the 30s of the XX century were part of several European states and were under the infuence of European artistic trends, while the southern and eastern regions belonged to the Russian Empire, and later to the Soviet Union and had a common cultural and artistic feld with them. The artistic life of each of the centers was infuenced by both the general historical and cultural processes of a particular region and local trends. The purpose of the article is to highlight the state of research on artistic life in Ukraine from its frst mentions in scientifc sources to our time, as well as regional diferences in this process. According to the purpose, this article is an analysis of the scientifc heritage on this topic. The methodology of the research consists of the use of general scientifc methods – comparative analysis, synthesis, analogy, generalization, which makes it possible to draw general conclusions about the state of research on artistic life in Ukraine as a whole.
