The Kebun Surgawi Mengwi is an initiative of
one of the PIG Bali (Pusaka Indonesia) cadres
named Ni Putu Eka Ernita or her nickname
Mbok Eka. The main purpose of activating
this garden is not just to make a profit but
rather to bring people closer to nature and
learn directly from it. However, this good
initiative is not yet widely known on social
media platforms due to a miss in content
management. So the author intends to
contribute knowledge in the field of visual
story telling for their social media accounts.
The author in this project uses the
Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRP) method
by acting as a special content creator for the
1st anniversary of the presence of gardens on
the Instagram platform. As a result, the
Instagram appearance of Kebun Surgawi
Mengwi, has become friendlier and has
received a positive response from its
followers. Thus it is possible for plantation
managers to expand their business and
collaborate with more established similar
initiatives.
