Teacher performance appraisal at Imanuel Nunu Christian Elementary School is currently still being carried out manually in the sense that the preparation of employee performance appraisal reports still uses word processing applications (Microsoft word and excel) resulting in inefficient and ineffective time and a greater risk of data loss. The purpose that the authors take from this research is to build a Data Processing Application for Teacher Performance Assessment at Imanuel Nunu Christian Elementary School using computerized visual basic 6.0. The Teacher Performance Assessment that was made was a Data Processing Application for Teacher Performance Assessment at Imanuel Nunu Christian Elementary School by using the Visual Basic 6.0 programming language and Microsoft Office Access as databases. The results obtained are a prototype of the teacher performance assessment report at the Imanuel Nunu Christian Elementary School. INTRODUCTION The development of information technology has now entered various fields, so that more and more agencies are trying to improve their performance by building information technology [1]. Advances in the field of information also have a lot of impact, namely that information is needed both in a government and private agency which finally they try to burden the data processing system by using a computer in order to obtain the desired information quickly and can be used to support activities and work efficiency [2]. Computers are tools that are needed by many state-owned and private companies. The need for accurate and timely information to present employee performance appraisal data [3]. Data processing is the stage where the data is processed in accordance with the procedures that have been entered [4]. This data processing activity includes collecting classification or grouping data, calculating sorting, merging, summarizing in the form of tables and graphs, storing and reading data from data storage areas [5]. The purpose of data processing is to extract information from it to produce other information in a useful form [6]. Performance appraisal is a method used to assess the work performance of an employee whether he or she has achieved the work target assigned to him. The evaluation of work results or organizational performance as well as individual performance is carried out by a management system whose job is to evaluate the work of employees, which is called performance management [7]. As well as performance, it focuses its attention on employee performance and the object of the discussion is the same, namely employee performance. A work management program that has a large scope and covers all elements that are utilized to improve organizational performance [8]. Performance appraisal refers to a formal and structured system used to measure, assess and influence work-related attributes, behaviors and outcomes, including absenteeism rates. Employee performance appraisal can be interpreted as a good mechanism to control employees [9]. In the world of education, the main task of the teacher is a frame of reference for teachers in carrying out the learning process [10] [11]. In this main task, the teacher's task is not only to transform knowledge to students, but the teacher must also strive so that students can implement the knowledge they have gained from the educational process in their lives. Teacher performance appraisal refers to a formal and structured system used to measure, assess and influence work-related attributes, behaviors and outcomes, including absenteeism rates [12]. The performance appraisal itself is useful for the management of the organization in taking various policies, because the assessment carried out can explain the levels of teacher performance in the organization [13] [14]. The teacher is the spearhead of efforts to achieve and improve the expected quality of education [15]. The function of the teacher in the educational process is to teach, educate, foster, direct and shape character and personality so that humans turn into human beings who have knowledge, intelligent and dignified humans [16]. The teacher is the figure who plays the most role in determining the quality of learning in an educational institution called a school. The teacher is the most important component in student learning events. So, teachers are adults who are consciously responsible for educating, teaching, and guiding students. People who are called teachers are people who have the ability to design learning programs and are able to organize and manage classes so that students can learn and in the end can reach the maturity level as the ultimate goal of the process.
