Ecuador Resumen El objetivo es realizar un estudio referente a la investigación formativa como estrategia para articular las funciones universitarias de la investigación, la vinculación y la docencia que permita desarrollar actitudes formativas teóricas-prácticas en los estudiantes que cursan carreras en la Extensión Bahía de Caráquez. Se realizó un análisis del estado del arte que permitió fundamentar y argumentar referente al campo y objeto de la investigación. A través de método analítico y descriptivo se realizó un análisis retrospectivo de la actividad docente y su aporte a la actividad práctica que realizan los estudiantes en las comunidades del cantón. Los estudios de asignación de actividades permitieron verificar la pertinencia y responsabilidad de cada docente en el proceso formativo. El análisis de la participación de las actividades comerciales admitió verificar las contribuciones que han realizado los estudiantes en la transferencia del conocimiento en las diferentes actividades comerciales de la localidad. Abstract The objective is to carry out a study referring to formative research as a strategy to articulate the university functions of research, linking and teaching that allows the development of theoretical- practical formative attitudes in students who are studying at the Bahía de Caráquez Extension. Analysis of the state of the art was carried out that allowed to substantiate and argue regarding the field and object of the investigation. Through an analytical and descriptive method, a retrospective analysis of the teaching activity and its contribution to the practical activity carried out by students in the communities of the canton was carried out. The activity assignment studies made it possible to verify the relevance and responsibility of each teacher in the training process. The analysis of the participation of commercial activities allowed verifying the contributions that students have made in the transfer of knowledge in the different commercial activities of the town.
