Regarding student training in Ghana, there is a lack of standardized models/theories and practices guiding the collaborative efforts between the textile institutions and large- scale Clothing and Textile industries. This calls for efforts to design a model that can guide such collaborative efforts towards student training. Action research using multiple case studies was employed for the study. The researchers used the purposive sampling technique for the study. Interviews and observation were used for data collection. The sample size of this qualitative study was 22 made up of two categories of respondents from the industry and academia. The study found that there is no collaborative model and no policy document on industrial attachment. It therefore recommends that industrial attachment should be student-centered with a standardized assessment framework for students on industrial training.
