In the case of the Province of Bali, since the early 1980s the development of the tourism industry with the cultural tourism axis has been the main spirit of development. One of the logical consequences of this development agenda is the commodifcation of sacred spaces. The commodifcation of sacred spaces can be seen from the social reality at Dalem Ped Temple. Where now Dalem Ped Temple is not limited to being a sacred space for a place of worship for the Hindu community, but has developed into a tourism space to a capital accumulation space for local managers and traders. Various social spaces created as a result of the commodifcation of sacred values in Dalem Ped Temple are referred to as heterotopia spaces. In other words, an alternative space is created in a multifunctional space that is in one place. Keywords: Commodifcation; dalem ped temple; heterotopia Abstrak Agenda pembangunan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat hingga kini masih menjadi wacana dominan. Dalam kasus Provinsi Bali, sejak awal 1980 pengembangan industri pariwisata dengan sumbu pariwisata budaya menjadi roh utama pembangunan. Salah satu konsekuensi logis dari agenda pembangunan ini ialah komodifkasi ruang kesakralan. Komodifkasi ruang kesakralan dapat dilihat dari realitas sosial di Pura Dalem Ped. Dimana kini Pura Dalem Ped tidak sebatas menjadi ruang sakral untuk tempat beribadah bagi masyarakat Hindu, tetapi berkembang menjadi ruang wisata hingga ruang akumulasi kapital bagi pengelola dan pedagang sekitar. Berbagai ruang sosial yang tercipta akibat komodifkasi nilai kesakralan di Pura Dalem Ped disebut sebagai ruang heterotopia. Dengan kata lain, tercipta sebuah ruang alternatif yang berada dalam ruang multifungsi yang berada pada satu lokasi tempat (place).
