Over the years, Hanoi University has trained a large number of international students coming to learn Vietnamese and has achieved certain results. In this article, we study the current situation of teaching and learning Vietnamese for international students at Hanoi University, thereby offering specifc recommendations to overcome the shortcomings in the process of Vietnamese language training for international students, and at the same time improve the teaching quality.
