Continuing and accelerating child health are issues stated
in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by United Na-
tion (UN). Targets in improving child health in SDG are by
decreasing neonatal and pediatric mortality. Reducing risk
and prevention of neonatal mortality may be achieved by
monitoring intrauterine fetal development. High burden of
pediatric mortality may be seen in pediatric genetic, neo-
plasm and infectious disease. In this COVID-19 pandemic
era, SARS-CoV 2 infection in children add more chal-
lenge in improving child health. In this issue, we proudly
present articles on pediatric genetic, neoplasm and infec-
tious disease especially in clinical manifestation, diagnos-
tic and therapeutic challenge.
Fetal weight is one parameter in monitoring intrauter-
ine fetal development. Many techniques available to es-
timate fetal weight, and ultrasonography technique has
been widely used. One limitation using ultrasonography
is limited access especially in rural area in Indonesia. Pa-
pilaya
1
reviews alternative growth chart for estimated fe-
tal weight in the absence of ultrasound. This book review
may help physician to monitor intrauterine growth in the
setting of limited access to ultrasound.
Pediatric genetic disease and syndrome is still challenge
in the feld of medicine. Sarwono describes Sturge Weber
Syndrome case as one of congenital pediatric disease.

This
report may be interesting because its manifestation as a
stroke-syndrome. Comprehensive review of this case re-
port gives physician insight more in pediatric genetic syn-
drome that may manifest as a common medical problem.
In this COVID-19 pandemic era, we may face
COVID-19 in patient with other comorbidities. While
children with COVID-19 cases in Indonesia is increas-
ing recently, Saputra
3
reports a child infected with SARS-
COV2, cooccurrence with lung and bone neoplasm. This
case report gives physician concern that we may face other
comorbidities while treating children with COVID-19 as
we may see in adult cases.
Cerebrospinal fuid analysis remains a gold standard
in diagnosing central nervous system infection. Rianto re-
ports the additional utilization of brain imaging in diagnos-
ing pediatric central nervous system infection. In pediatric
settings there may be difculties in obtaining cerebrospi-
nal fuid specimen and it takes more time for the result.
Brain imaging may help physician in diagnosing central
nervous infection while waiting the result of cerebrospi-
nal fuid analysis.

This report also gives information to
physician about the sign that support central nervous in-
fection in brain imaging.
One of the key factors that have a role in the future
of nation is the quality of the children development. The
quality of the children will greatly infuenced by systems
that support child health.
