It is to this end that several successive governments has embarked on numerous pension schemes one of which is the Pension Reform Act of 2014 which repealed the 2004 PRA. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results revealed among others that there is positive and significant relationship between additional voluntary contribution and pensioners’ welfare in AMAC. However, based on the findings, the study recommended among other things that the Commission review its money laundering guideline which has greatly discouraged a lot of retirees from increasing their savings percentage. Key words: Social security scheme, pensioners, contributory pension scheme, timely payment, welfare.
