Abstract: The linkage between new product developments (NPD) with supply
chain management (SCM) process gives an edge to improve performance in
supply chain by launching a new product. The main objective of the ongoing
aspects of research is identifying important decision making points of NPD
along with frameworks of SCM which are already existing in literature and
guiding supply chain about the decision making in collaborative supply chain.
By reviewing the literature existing in recent times regarding NPD, its
performance management, while identifying gaps in currently used frameworks
and highlighting key decision making points in collaborative supply chain
linked to NPD. A methodology for NPD-SCM integration has been developed
from the results from this study, which furthermore is in line with the complete
enterprise instead of employing simply NPD processes.
