Pada awalnya pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara tatap muka, waktu ini dilaksanakan dengan daring. Kosakata merupakan pengetahuan dasar dan penting dalam menguasai Bahasa Inggris. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran vocabulary pada masa pandemic adalah melalui media online. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan agar mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran vocabulary dengan menggunakan dictionary online pada Mahasiswa Teknik Mesin STTR Cepu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Terdapat 30 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner dan dokumentasi sangat setuju sebesar 43.3%, setuju sebesar 46.7% sisanya mengatakan tidak setuju dan sangat tidak setuju. Sehingga bisa disimpulkan kurang ekeftifitas pembelajaran vocabulary menggunakan online dictionary pada mahasiswa teknik mesin STTR Cepu. Kata Kunci : Kosakata, kamus online, Metode, Pengajaran. Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic, apart from providing a bad experience, can also make someone challenged and offer to develop learning but in Engineering English lectures. At first the learning was carried out face-to-face, this time it was carried out boldly. Vocabulary is a basic and important knowledge in Mastering English. One of the vocabulary learning strategies during the pandemic is through online media. This research was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of vocabulary learning by using an online dictionary for Mechanical Engineering Students STTR Cepu. This study used a descriptive approach. There are 30 students as respondents. Based on the questionnaire and strongly agree by 43.3%, agree by 46.7% say disagree and strongly agree. So that it can be said that the effectiveness of learning vocabulary using online dictionaries is weak in mechanical engineering students at STTR Cepu. Universities are required to be able to continue to hold lectures in the midst of a crisis. Online classes are one of the activities to reduce the intensity of lecturers' meetings with students. Various kinds of online classes are carried out by universities with varied methods but still in accordance with learning outcomes that are in accordance with the course. Starting from the zoom class, google meet, and in the LMS (Learning Management System) model. Almost every lecture in university used an online system in the implementation of lectures. Mechanical Engineering program in STTR Cepu is one of those that runs a learning system with an online system, after in semester 2 of the 2020-2021 school year it has implemented a hybrid online and face-to-face lecture system. STTR Cepu technical English is one of the courses that utilizes an online system using schoology.com for lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lectures, several obstacles were encountered in the implementation of the lectures. As for some of the obstacles faced, among others: Constraints faced by students in the online learning process are fundamental obstacles that must be faced, including obstacles in the field of internet networks, limited features of online learning applications, and obstacles in terms of learning services. These constraints should be a concern in preparing and implementing online learning (Hutauruk, 2020). Engineering English courses are considered effective when they apply four aspects, including: speaking, reading, listening, and writing. However, learning to cover these 4 aspects is vocabulary learning. Vocabulary learning is an element that is considered important in mastering English.
