© 1994 Nature Publishing Group CORRECTION A 13-amino-acid motif in the cytoplasmic domain of FcyRIIB modulates B-cell receptor signalling Tatsushi Muta, Tomohiro Kurosakl, Zlva Mlsulovin, Mercedes Sanchez, Michel C. Nussenzweig a Jeffrey V. Ravetch Nature368, 70- 73 (1994) IN this letter we neglected to menti on in our citation of ref. 13 that Amigorena et al. 1 had previously expressed in IIA 1.6 cells deletion mutants of mFcyRII-Bl and B2 that did or did not include the 13-amino-acid cytoplasmic domain motif analysed in o ur repor t. The ability of these mutants to attenuate mig- induced B-ce ll activation was correlated with the presence of this region, suggesting its functional involvement in regulating the activati on process. It ha s also been brought to o ur attention that C hoquet et ae used this approach to suggest that the regulatory activity could be localized to the YSLL motif co ntained within the 13-am in o-acid region a nd that the inhibition of mig-induced activation by mFcyRII affects the influx of extracellular Ca 2 +. We apo logize for these oversights. 0 1. Amigore na. S. eta/. Science 256, 1808-1812 (1992). 2. Choquet. D. et at. J. Cell Bioi. 121, 355-363 (1993 ).
