Pasien COVID-19 yang parah melibatkan penanda inflamasi yang meningkat, termasuk feritin. Feritin adalah mediator kunci dari disregulasi imun, terutama di bawah hiperferitinemia ekstrim. Pasien COVID-19 dengan hiperferitinemia memiliki tingkat penanda inflamasi yang jauh lebih tinggi, salah satunya adalah prokalsitonin (PCT). Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar feritin serum dengan PCT pada pasien COVID-19. Metode: penelitian analitik korelatif. Sampel adalah data rekam medik sebanyak 463 pasien COVID-19 di RS Persahabatan periode Januari – Desember 2021. Hubungan antara kadar feritin serum dengan kadar PCT dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Spearman. Hasil: Mayoritas pasien 240 (51,8%) pasien laki-laki dengan kelompok umur tertinggi 46-59 tahun sebanyak 160 (34,6%) pasien dan 60 tahun sebanyak 163 (35,0%) pasien. Rerata kadar feritin serum adalah 995.218 μg/L dengan kadar minimum 11,3 μg/L dan kadar maksimum 22.612,7 μg/L, sedangkan rerata kadar PCT adalah 0,3892 ng/mL dengan kadar minimum 0 ,00 ng/mL dan kadar maksimum 50,73 ng/mL. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan terdapat korelasi antara kadar ferritin serum dengan PCT (Pvalue= 0,0001; rho 0,573). Kesimpulan: Peningkatan kadar ferritin serum diikuti dengan peningkatan kadar procalcitonin. Ada korelasi positif dan kuat antara kadar ferritin serum dan PCT. Kata kunci: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Ferritin serum, Procalcitonin (PCT) Abstract Background: The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Laboratory findings in severe COVID-19 patients involve elevated inflammatory biomarkers, including ferritin. Ferritin is a key mediator of immune dysregulation, especially under circumstances of extreme hyperferritinemia. COVID-19 patients with hyperferritinemia had significantly higher levels of inflammatory markers, like procalcitonin (PCT). Purpose: To determine the correlation between serum ferritin levels and PCT in COVID-19 patients. Method: This research was correlative analytic study. Samples was extracted from medical record data of 463 COVID-19 patients at Persahabatan Hospital in January - December 2021. The correlation between serum ferritin and PCT levels was statistically analyzed using the Spearman test. Results: Majority of patients, 240 (51,8%) male patients with the highest age group 46-59 years as many as 160 (34,6%) patients and ≥60 years as many as 163 (35,0%) patients. Mean serum ferritin level was 995,218 μg/L with minimum level 11,3 μg/L and a maximum level 22.612,7 μg/L, while mean PCT level was 0,3892 ng/mL with minimum level 0,00 ng/mL and maximum level 50,73 ng/mL. The results of Spearman correlation test obtained p values 0,000 and rho 0,573. Conclusion: It is proven elevated ferritin serum was followed by increase procalcitonin serum.
