Urbanization, agriculture, and forests are the three main occupations of the earth by humankind. In Asia, settlements are often embedded within forests. This contributes significantly to their livability, micro-climate, and increased resourcefulness. The forests are part and parcel of livelihoods, as in Tri Ton. Clearly, such urbanization and forest relationships provide inspiration for future developments, also in more extreme urban contexts.
