In addition, home industry is also a business activity that is able to expand employment opportunities and provide broad economic services to the community, and can play a role in improving the community's economy, reducing unemployment and improving community welfare. The problem in this study is how the impact of the home industry in improving the family economy. How was the financial condition before the home industry and after the home industry. And also how the Islamic economics review of the home industry business. This study aims to determine the role of the home industry in improving the family economy, to determine the economic changes before and after the home industry activities, and an overview of Islamic economics on the home industry business activities. This research is qualitative in nature, so the data collection process by researchers uses observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that the process of home industry activities carried out by business owners in Langsa City is still very simple and uses a manual system. And the impact of this home industry is to help the family economy and reduce the number of unemployed. Based on a review of Islamic economics, the business carried out by home industry owners in Langsa City is carried out well and in line with Islamic law, both in the manufacturing process, raw materials and marketing processes, it's just that it is still very simple. The results of this study are expected to have implications for significant growth of businesses with a home industry scale because they will be able to absorb labor as well as improve the level of the family economy. Keywords: Home industry, family economy, and Islamic economy ABSTRAK Home industry merupakan wadah bagi sebagian besar masyarakat yang mampu tumbuh dan berkembang secara mandiri dengan memberikan peran besar serta menduduki peran strategis dalam pembangunan ekonomi di Kota Langsa. Selain itu home industry juga merupakan kegiatan usaha yang mampu memperluas lapangan kerja dan memberikan pelayanan ekonomi secara luas kepada masyarakat, dan dapat berperan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat, mengurangi pengangguran dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Adapun permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana dampak home industry dalam meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga. Bagaimana kondisi keuangan saat sebelum adanya home industry dengan saat sesudah home industry. Dan juga bagaimana tinjauan ekonomi Islam terhadap usaha home industry
