The symptoms of ADHD generally are first seen in childhood but can continue into adulthood. Therefore, this paper discussed the concept of ADHD, characteristics of ADHD, eatiology of ADHD, assessment and diagnosis of ADHD as well as classroom Management for children with ADHD. Introduction Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common neuro-development behavoural disorder among school age children, which continues in adolescence and adulthood in most cases (Biederman and Faraone, 2005). It is mainly characterized by inattentiveness, over activity and impulsiveness. According to Barkley (2002) ADHD is predictable and persistent, with up to 80% of diagnosed children continuing to meet diagnostic criteria in adolescence while up to 67% were said to continue to have significant symptoms of the disorder throughout their life. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is also one of the most frequently diagnosed behavior disorders among primary school pupils which manifest itself in early childhood.
