ESTUDIO DE LA VARIACIÓN FRASEOLÓGICA DIATÓPICA DEL ESPAÑOL DE ESPAÑA Y DE ARGENTINA BASADO EN CORPUS DE SENTENCIAS: PROPUESTAS DE TRADUCCIÓN AL ALEMÁN ANALÍA CUADRADO REY ABSTRACT Study of the diatopic phraseological variation of Spanish in Spain and Argentina based on corpus of sentences: proposals for translation into German Tis article is related to the study of specialized translation, specifcally to lexical and phraseological variation in legal translation. In fact, this study arises from the need to delve deeper into the study of Spanish phraseo- logical units using larger corpora, considering the varieties that refect the convergences and divergences of this language throughout the places where it is spoken. To this end, the paper approaches sentences using a comparative corpus-based approach analysing phraseological units used in Argentine and Spain. Te research provides a brief contextualization of the legal systems of the selected countries, and, by using corpus linguistics, the PUs are extracted and compared. Te main objective is to detect simi- larities and diferences at the phraseological level in both languages and to provide functional equivalents in German that can be useful for students and translators. Te fndings show that at the methodological level corpus linguistics is a useful tool for the identifcation of PUs in specialized texts. Furthermore, the analysis of the examples from the corpus of sentences shows the evidence of lexical variants referring to the same reality both within a single variety of Spanish and between diferent varieties. Tis consequently determines the need to further study the PUs of Spanish by using a more extensive corpus, considering the diferent countries in which Spanish is an ofcial language. Introducción Partimos de la asunción de que la variación ya sea diatópica, diacrónica, diafásica o diastrática es una realidad existente en todas las lenguas (Mogorrón 2020). En este contexto, si esa lengua se habla en más de un país, como es el caso del español, las mar- cas dialectales y las diferencias culturales serán mayores por el mero hecho de la huella producida por la propia idiosincrasia de cada cultura.
