BERBASIS EDUCATION GAME SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik dan keefektifan MPI
berbasis education game pada pembelajaran sistem koloid di SMA. Penelitian ini
dirancang menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D)
dengan tahapan identifikasi masalah dan potensi, pengumpulan data, desain
produk, validasi desain, revisi produk, uji coba produk, revisi desain, uji coba
pemakaian, dan revisi produk, sehingga dihasilkan produk final. Setelah melalui
proses pengembangan dihasilkan produk final berupa media pembelajaran
dengan karakteristik: 1) interaktif, 2) menarik dan menyenangkan, 3) sebagai
media pembelajaran secara umum dan mandiri pada materi sistem koloid SMA,
dan 4) useable dan compatible. Pada uji coba pemakaian diketahui bahwa semua
kriteria efektif yaitu siswa yang tuntas (KKM 75) tidak kurang dari 75% dari total
siswa, siswa yang memiliki minat sangat baik tidak kurang dari 75% dari total
siswa, dan siswa dengan aktivitas sangat tinggi tidak kurang dari 75% dari total
siswa dapat terpenuhi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat
disimpulkan bahwa MPI berbasis education game efektif diterapkan pada
pembelajaran kimia pada materi sistem koloid kelas XI SMA 1 Subah dengan
ketuntasan sebesar 94,44%, minat sangat baik sebesar 83,33% dan aktivitas
sangat tinggi sebesar 86,11%.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristic and effectiveness of MPI
based on the education game on the material of colloid system learning in Senior High
School. This research is constructed with the Research and Development (R & D) method
which consisted of several stages, such as, identifying the problem and potential, collecting
data, designing the product, validating the design, revising the design, testing the product,
revising the product, testing the application of product and revising final product, so that it
produced the final product. After doing the developmental process, it was produced final
product in the form of learning medium with several characteristics, such as, 1) interactive,
2) interesting and joyful; 3) as a leaning medium on the material of colloid which can be
applied either in schools or independently at home, and 4) useable and compatible. From
the application test, it is known that all of the criteria are effective where students who reach
the completeness (KKM 75) not less than 75% from the total amount of the students,
students who have high interest not less than 75% from the total amount of the students,
and students with high activity not less than 75% from the total amount of the students can
be achieved. Based on the research result and the discussion, it can be concluded that MPI
game education based is effective to be applied on the chemistry in material koloid system
grade XI SMA 1 Subah with completeness is 94.44%, high interest is 83.33%, and very
high activity is 86.11%.
