Katılımcılar Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fa- kültesinin son sınıfında okuyan ve pedagojik formasyon derslerini seçen öğrenciler arasından amaçlı örnekleme yolu ile belirlenmiş 82 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri katılımcılara dağıtılan "Eğitim... gibidir. Çünkü..., Din ... gibidir. Çünkü..." şeklinde tamamlamaları istenen me- taforik algı formu ile toplanmıştır. Bu katılımcılardan eğitim kavramına ilişkin 78; din kavramına ilişkin 79 geçerli metafor araştırma kapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Eğitim kavramı ile ilgili meta- forlar "Eğitim, yetiştirme ve üretme faaliyetidir", "Eğitim, insanın kendini keşfetmesi ve geliştir- mesine yönelik bir yardımdır", "Eğitim hayat için gereklidir, hayatın kendisidir", "Eğitim uzun bir süreçtir", "Eğitim yol gösteren bir rehberdir", "Eğitim emek ve sabır ister, eğitimin kuralları var- dır", "Eğitim şekillendirir, biçim verir” şeklinde ifade edilen 7 kategoride değerlendirilmiştir. Din kavramına ilişkin metaforlar ise "Din insanlara doğru yolu gösterir, iyiliğe yönlendirir", "Din, ma- nevi gelişim sağlar, anlam arayışına cevap verir", "Din, temel bir ihtiyaçtır", "Din, insana ve top- luma düzen veren, uyulması gereken kurallardır", "Din güven, huzur ve mutluluk kaynağıdır", "Din, hayatın her alanında ve tüm farklılıklarıyla insanları kapsar", "Din, özgür ve hassas bir se- çimdir” şeklinde yedi kategoride değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre; katılımcılar, eği- tim kavramını en çok "yetiştirme ve üretme" faaliyeti olarak, daha sonra "insanın kendini geliş- tirme ve keşfetme sürecine bir yardım" olarak tanımlamaktadırlar. Din kavramını ise, en çok "yol gösterici- rehber" olarak, daha sonra "manevi gelişimine destek ve anlam arayışına" cevap olarak tanımlamaktadırlar. Anahtar Kelimeler: Din; eğitim; metafor; ilahiyat; öğretmenlik ABSTRACT This research aims to find out the metaphorical perceptions of the senior students of the faculty of theology towards the concepts of “education” and “religion”. The participants con- sisted of 82 students selected by purposive sampling among the senior students of Ankara Univer- sity Faculty of Theology and choosing pedagogical formation courses. The data of the research ha been collected with the metaphorical perception form that the participants are asked to complete as “Education is like... Because…”, “Religionis like.. Because…”. 78 of these participants related to the concept of education; 79 valid metaphors related to the concept of religion have been evaluat- ed within the scope of the research. Metaphors related to the concept of education are evaluated in seven categories. Metaphors related to the concept of religion consist of seven categories. Ac- cording to the results of the research, the participants define the concept of education mostly as “training and producing” activity, and then as “helping the self-development and discovery pro- cess of people”. On the other hand, they define the concept of religion mostly as a “guidance- guide” and then as “an answer to support for spiritual development and search for meaning”. Fur- thermore, the concepts of education and religion are seen by the participants as a basic need and life itself. In our research, negative metaphors have not been used for both concepts, except for a metaphor that criticizes the current situation of teaching.
