However, the empirical literature has only begun to explore the link between servant leadership and well-being, and our understanding of this relationship remains underdevel- oped. The current chapter seeks to provide an overview of theory and empirical evidence on servant leadership and well-being, addressing the two following questions: (a) what do we know about the relationship(s) between servant lead- ership and well-being and (b) what theoretical mechanisms are used by researchers to explain these relationships?
