Urb.) dan daun bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun pegagan dan daun bandotan terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental meliputi pembuatan ekstrak dengan metode maserasi, skrining fitokimia dan uji aktivitas antibakteri kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun pegagan dan daun bandotan terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simplisia dan ekstrak etanol daun pegagan dan daun bandotan mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid, tanin, steroid dan saponin. Kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun pegagan dan daun bandotan dapat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan pebandingan konsentrasi 10%:90%, 20%:80%, 40%:60% dan 50%:50% dikategorikan sedang dan konsentrasi 30%:70%, 60%:40%, 70%:30%, 80%:20% dan 90%:10% dikategorikan kuat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi daun pegagan dan daun bandotan dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Urb.) and bandotan leave (Ageratum conyzoides L.) are among the plants that are efficacious as antibacterials. The objective of the research was to find out the antibacterial activity of a combination of pegagan leave and bandotan leave ethanol extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research was use experimental methods included the manufacture of extracts by maceration method, phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity tests combination of pegagan leave and bandotan leave ethanol extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The result show that simplisia and pegagan leave and bandotan leave ethanol extract contained flavonoids, tannins, steroids and saponins. The combination of pegagan leave and bandotan leave ethanol extracts could inhibit Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with a concentration of 10%: 90%, 20%: 80%, 40%: 60% and 50%: 50% were categorized as moderate and concentrations 30%: 70%, 60 %:40%, 70%:30%, 80%:20% and 90%:10% were categorized as strong. Thus it can be concluded that the combination of pegagan leave and bandotan leave could inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.
