Indonesia *E-mail: dekalay1975@gmail.com ABSTRAK Pantai merupakan wilayah yang sangat dinamis sebab tekanan yang tinggi dari darat, laut dan udara. Dampaknya adalah kawasan pantai selalu mengalami perubahan secara terus menurus, dimana hal itu dianggap sebagai proses keseimbangan pantai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemiringan pantai pada perairan pantai barat Pulau Wamar dan menganalisis pola distribusi sedimen dasar pada perairan pantai barat Pulau Wamar. Penelitian dilakukan pada pantai barat Pulau Wamar (Durjela, Wangel dan Pantai Batu Kora) tahun 2017. Data kemiringan lereng pantai diukur langsung dilapang, sedangkan sedimen dilakukan pencuplikan pada 17 transek. Analisis kelas kemiringan lereng pantai didasarkan pada kriteria Zuidam dan analisis sedimen terkait dengan dominansi butiran dan distribusi sedimen berdasarkan analisis statistik. Kelas kemiringan lereng pantai rata-rata berkisar antara landai sampai miring. Sedimen pantai didominasi oleh katagori lumpur sampai kerikil. Kisaran nilai mean berkisar dari kerikil halus (granule) hingga pasir sangat halus, tapi ukuran butiran yang lebih mendominasi adalah pasir sedang, Nilai sorting adalah very well sorted (terpilah sangat baik) hingga very poorly sorted (terpilah sangat buruk), tapi lebih didominasi oleh poorly sorted. Nilai skewness adalah symmetrical, fine skewed dan very coarse skewed. Kurtosisnya lebih didominasi oleh very platykurtic yang artinya pola sebaran yang menunjukkan tendensi pemusatan pada ukuran butiran hampir sama. Kata kunci: lereng pantai, sedimen, pantai barat pulau wamar ABSTRAC The coast is a very dynamic area due to high pressure from land, sea and air. The impact is that the coastal area is constantly changing, which is considered a process of coastal balance. The purpose of this study was to analyze the slope of the coast on the west coast of Wamar Island and analyze the distribution pattern of bottom sediment in the waters of the west coast of Wamar Island. The study was conducted on the west coast of Wamar Island (Durjela, Wangel and Batu Kora Beach) in 2017. The coastal slope data were measured directly in the field, while sediments were sampled on 17 transects. Analysis of coastal slope class was based on Zuidam criteria and sediment analysis related to grain dominance and sediment distribution was based on statistical analysis. The average coastal slope class ranges from sloping to sloping. Beach sediments are dominated by the category of mud to gravel. The mean value ranges from fine gravel to very fine sand, but the dominant grain size is medium sand. The sorting value is very well sorted to very poorly sorted, but dominated by poorly sorted. The skewness values are symmetrical, fine skewed and very coarse skewed. The kurtosis is dominated by very platykurtic, which means that the distribution pattern shows a tendency to concentrate on almost the same grain size.
