Physical education, as an important part of quality education, can exercise middle school students' physiques, promote their physical and mental health, and help them establish lifelong sports awareness. This article takes the construction of an open physical education classroom as the research object, analyzes the significance of implementing open physical education in middle schools based on three dimensions, and puts forward teaching strategies from four perspectives of teaching content, teaching methods, teaching process and teaching evaluation in combination with its teaching practice. Keyword: Middle school physical education; Open teaching; Teaching strategy 1. Only in this open teaching situation can students boldly explore, actively innovate, and apply the knowledge they have learned in practice, to develop and shape a new self through sports. 2.2.
