THE TRANSMISSION DYNAMICS OF DENGUE FEVER WITH THE EFFECT OF EDUCATION CAMPAIGN AND ITS APPLICATIONS Bundit Unyong Department of Mathematics Faculty of Science and Technology Phuket Rajabhat University Phuket, 83000, Thailand Abstract In this work, a modified SEIR model for the transmission of dengue fever was proposed and analyzed. We use the efficiency of education campaign u as the control measures to reduce the contact between susceptible human and infected mosquito, the role of education to inform people that they should use mosquito repellent to protect yourself from mosquito bites and also once a week, empty and scrub, turn over, or throw out items that hold water, remove standing water where mosquitoes could lay eggs. The standard method is used to analyze behaviors of the proposed model. The results show that there were two equilibrium points: disease free and endemic equilibrium. The qualitative results are depended on a basic reproductive number ( ). 0 R We obtained the basic reproductive number by using the next generation method and finding the spectral radius. Routh-Hurwitz criterion is used for determining the stabilities of the model. If
