Dalam artikel ini terdapat beberapa hal penting yang akan menjadi inti bahasan yaitu, Pengertian Qawaid al-Tahdis, sejarah perkembangan dan pertumbuhan Qawaid al- Tahdis dari berbagai perspektif ulama, ruang lingkup Qawaid al-Tahdis beserta urgensinya. Oleh karena itu maka perlu kiranya menjelaskan hal-hal tersebut agar tidak menimbulkan kekeliruan dan kesalahpahaman dalam memahami terkait dengan historitas Qawaid al-Tahdis. Pengkajian masalah ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan kajian pustaka dengan pendekatan historis. Maka kesimpulannya adalah qawaid al- tahdis adalah ilmu yang mempelajari terkait dengan kaidah-kaidah dalam keilmuan hadis. Dalam perkembangannya, qawaid al-tahdis dalam aspek kesejarahan terjadi perbedaan pendapat dikalangan pengkaji hadis terkait dengan priodesasi perkembangan hadis. Bahasan dalam qawaid al-tahdis mencakup pengkajian dari segi autentisitas hadis Nabi saw. Qawaid al-tahdis menjadi keilmuan yang penting karena terjadinya banyak distorsi terhadap hadis Nabi saw. sehingga menjadi sebuah pisau analisis dalam pengkajian hadis. In this article there are several important things that will become the core of the discussion, namely, the definition of Qawaid al-Tahdis, the history of the development and growth of Qawaid al-Tahdis from various perspectives of scholars, the scope of Qawaid al-Tahdis and its urgency. Therefore, it is necessary to explain these things so as not to cause confusion and misunderstanding in understanding related to the history of Qawaid al- Tahdis. The study of this problem was carried out by conducting a literature review with a historical approach. So the conclusion is qawaid al-tahdis is a science that studies related to the rules in hadith scholarship.
