The research method used is a descriptive ethnographic approach. The research data is in the form of traditional expressions of the Pasemah Bengkulu ethnic community which were obtained through observation and or recording from many informants intentionally or not. The research procedure follows the steps proposed by Spradley (1997). The results of the study are seen from the meaning, communication situations, speakers of the other party, and ways of expressing anger. Expression of anger is a means to express feelings of annoyance, disappointment, and dislike. Expressions of anger can be a means of therapy for speakers and interlocutors for the emotions they experience and are one of the cultural images of the Pasemah Bengkulu ethnic community. In addition, the expression of anger is also a form of social control for society as well as a recorder of taboo vocabulary. PENDAHULUAN engkulu merupakan provinsi di bagian pesisir Sumatera. Bengkulu memiliki masyarakat yang multietnik (Rifa’i, dkk. 2022:100). Berdasarkan jumlah etnisnya, terdapat 8 (delapan) etnis daerah yang terdapat di Provinsi Bengkulu. Etnis-etnis itu dikelompokkan menjadi dua , yaitu etnis penduduk asli Bengkulu dan etnis penduduk pendatang. Adapun etnis penduduk asli Bengkulu, antara lain: (1) Etnis Mukomuko, terdapat di wilayah Provinsi Bengkulu paling utara, yaitu Kabupaten Mukomuko. (2) Etnis Pekal, ada di dua wilayah besar, yaitu wilayah Kabupaten Mukomuko dan Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. (3) Etnis Rejang, ada di tiga wilayah besar, yaitu wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, Lebong, Kepahiang, dan Rejang Lebong. (4) Etnis Lembak, terdapat di wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah dan sebagian di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. (5) Etnis Serawai, terdapat di wilayah Kabupaten Seluma dan Bengkulu Selatan. (6) Etnis Pasemah, terdapat di wilayah Kabupaten Kaur (Padang Guci, Kinal) dan Bengkulu Selatan (Kedurang). (7) Etnis Mulak Bintuhan, terdapat di wilayah Kabupaten Kaur.
