The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities of class XI students at SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh of algebraic function limit material. Data collection was carried out by observing, interviewing, documenting, and giving test questions. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively by reducing data, presenting data, and providing conclusions. In this study, the subjects consisted of 21 students of class XI MIIA 3 at SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh. The results showed that the mathematical reasoning abilities of students in class XI MIIA 3 SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh with material limiting algebraic functions based on the scoring rubric were included in the fairly good category with a percentage of 76.19% in the very good category, 14.29% in the good category. , and the percentage of 9.52% in the sufficient category, and there were no students with less and very less categories. While the results of the analysis of each item based on indicators with a percentage of 80.95%, 85.71%, 80.95%, 90.48%, 80.95%, and 85.71% with an overall average of 84.125% in the high category. Keywords: limits of functions, mathematical reasoning, analysis Abstrak: Rendahnya penalaran matematis siswa dapat mempengaruhi kualitis serta prestasi akademik siswa, oleh sebab itu diperlukan cura untuk meningkatkan penalaran matematis tersebut. salah satunya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar serta meningkatkan penalaran matematis siswa, siswa harus banyak melakukan latihan soal-soal maupun menyelesaikan tes mengenai penalaran matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 kota sungai penuh dengan materi limit fungsi aljabar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara obsevasi, wawancara, dokumuntasi dan pemberian soal tes. Data yang diperoleh lalu dianalis secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data serta memberikan kesimpulan. Dalam penelitian ini subjeknya terdiri dari 21 orang siswa kelas XI MIIA 3 SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI MIIA 3 SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh dengan materi limit fungsi aljabar berdasarkan rubrik penskoran termasuk kedalam kategori cukup baik dengan mendapatkan persentase 76,19% dengan kategori sangat baik, persentase 14,29% dengan kategori baik, dan persentase
