Recently, research has been carried out on the treatment of these wastes with large stones, where the durability of the concrete will be an important consideration. The use of plastic has the advantage of low consumption and to some extent solves the problem of plastic waste. Plastic waste can be mixed into concrete in some way without affecting other materials and without affecting its strength. In this investigation the mix design is carried out as per IS 10262: 2009 for M25 grade. Shredded plastic in the form of flakes in 0%, 10%, 15% & 20% are added and the optimum percentage at which higher strength is obtained is calculated with water cement ratio of 0.39. Ordinary Portland cement, Conplast SP-430 super plasticizer is used. Keywords:-Recycled plastic, Sustainable concrete, Compressive strength INTRODUCTION Concrete is the most used material in the world and the second most used material in the world after water. The collection and disposal of waste from various products is a current concern. Sustainability is now a top priority for the construction industry. Shredded plastic was used in this study, thus providing a sustainable option for recycling plastic waste. In other words, these plastics will end as materials in the world. In this case if it is used for recycling instead of concrete. Due to the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization in our country, infrastructure development continues. Therefore, in order to overcome the above problems, waste products should be used as building materials.[1-4] MATERIALS, CASTING & TESTING The materials used in this investigation are as follows, Cement OPC (ordinary Portland cement) Plastic crushed pieces Fine aggregate Course aggregate Super Plasticizer (SP430) Water Primary tests on materials are done as follows, Specific gravity of cement Fineness of cement Initial and final setting time Soundness Sieve analysis Specific gravity of aggregates Water absorption Crushing and Impact values of coarse aggregate
