Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik bakteri endofit yang diisolasi dari akar napas (Pneumatofor) tumbuhan Avicennia marina. Pengambilan sampel akar napas dilakukan di Mempawah Mangrove Park (MMP), Desa Pasir, Kabupaten Mempawah. Isolasi dilakukan dengan metode pengenceran dan metode tuang (pour plate) menggunakan media Triptic Soy Agar (TSA). Karakterisasi dan Identifikasi dilakukan dengan cara melihat morfologis dan fisiologis bakteri. Hasil isolasi membuktikan beberapa isolat memiliki kemiripan dengan genus tertentu seperti Amv 111 dengan Neisseria, Amv 211 dengan Micrococcus, serta 5 isolat lainnya yaitu Amv 122, Amv 312, Amv 421, Amv 511, dan Amv 522 dengan Staphylococcus. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, genera Neisseria, Micrococcus dan Staphylococcus mampu tumbuh sampai kadar salinitas 30%, dan tumbuh pada suhu 28-36°C. Isolat genera Micrococcus dan Staphylococcus mampu tumbuh pada pH 5-8, sedangkan isolat genera Neisseria mampu tumbuh pada pH 6-8. ABSTRACT Endophytic bacteria have the characteristics of living in plant tissue (roots, stems, leaves, and flowers) without causing disturbance to plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of endophytic bacteria isolated from the pneumatophores of the Avicennia marina. Sampling was carried out in Mempawah Mangrove Park (MMP), Pasir Village, Mempawah Regency. Isolation was determined by dilution method and pour plate method using TSA media. characterization and Identification were determined by morphological and physiological bakteria. The isolation results proved that several isolations had similarities with certain genera, such as Amv 111 with Neisseria, Amv 211 with Micrococcus, and 5 other isolates, namely Amv 122, Amv 312, Amv 421, Amv 511, and Amv 522 with Staphylococcus. Based on the observation results, members of the genera Neisseria, Micrococcus and Staphylococcus can grow to a salinity level of 30%, and at a temperature of 28-36 ° C. Micrococcus and Staphylococcus genera isolates were able to grow at pH 5-8, while Neisseria genera isolates could grow at pH 6-8.
