Keywords: Ecology; Spiritualism; Islamic; Environment; Introduction As has happened recently, environmental damage has become a common phenomenon in almost all parts of Indonesia, even the world. Disasters such as floods, landslides, pollution, and erratic weather often occur. These various phenomena show that nature, intended initially for humans within certain limits, is now destructive and has become a severe threat to human life. Various natural disasters that occurred and befell humanity marked the failure of humans as caliphs on Earth. If the destruction of the environment continues both on a local and global scale and there is no specific global action, then this will threaten humans themselves. The change in perspective that initially placed life together and side by side with nature – the flow of naturalism philosophy – has taught how humans should live in harmony with nature. However, the flow of philosophy has changed and placed humans as the primary controllers of nature (anthropocentric), and no longer humans who adapt to nature and the environment. The change in the anthropocentric perspective indirectly makes nature and the environment processed in such a way as to follow the will and fulfill the needs and desires of human life.
