Jurnal Jaffray, 21(2), 159-181. http://doi.org/10.25278/jj.v21i2.874 Abstract This study aims to interpret the ethical values of the Javanese community in the contextual mission of the church in the context of shifting ethical values in society today due to globalization and dynamic social changes in society. The ethical values of the Javanese community which are correlated with the church’s mission contextually tend to become degraded in the reality of social change in today’s society. Using a qualitative method, this research was conducted at the Samironobaru Javanese Christian Church and found that in an effort to contextualize the church’s mission, the church in the context of Javanese society needs to actualize the ethical values of the Javanese community in a contextual church mission approach. Keywords: Re-actualization, Christian values, Javanese Ethics, Church Mission, Contextual Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menafsirkan nilai-nilai etika masyarakat Jawa dalam konteks misi gereja dalam konteks pergeseran nilai-nilai etika dalam masyarakat saat ini akibat globalisasi dan perubahan sosial yang dinamis dalam masyarakat. Nilai-nilai etika masyarakat Jawa yang dikorelasikan dengan misi gereja secara kontekstual cenderung terdegradasi dalam realitas perubahan sosial masyarakat saat ini. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini dilakukan di Gereja Kristen Jawa Samironobaru dan menemukan bahwa dalam upaya mengkontekstualisasikan misi gereja, maka gereja dalam konteks masyarakat Jawa perlu mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai etika masyarakat Jawa dalam konteks misi gereja. mendekati.
