Abstract: In this study, the effect of Wooclap, one of the Web 2.0 tools, on the development of writing skills
of students learning Turkish as a foreign language was evaluated within the scope of student opinions. In this
research, in which the phenomenological design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used,
three activities prepared with Wooclap; It was applied with students learning Turkish as a foreign language at
C1 level. The interview form, which was restructured with the opinions of two experts, was applied to the
students and the interviews were recorded The obtained data were evaluated with inductive content analysis.
The sample group determined as the target in the research; It consists of 9 female and 9 male students
studying in DİLMER affiliated to Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. A topic in the Istanbul Teaching
Turkish to Foreigners C1 book was taught together with the activities in a lesson via Zoom to the students,
and then the articles written about these subjects were supported by the Web 2.0 tool called Wooclap. In the
study, Wooclap Web 2.0 tool; positive opinions that it is defined positively, that it creates a technological
environment, and that it positively affects writing skills. Differences of opinion about the Woocalp Web 2.0
tool were determined between education levels. It was concluded that students studying at doctorate and
undergraduate level reported more positive opinions than students studying at undergraduate and secondary
education level. It has been determined that the Wooclap Web 2.0 tool is a tool that will contribute to the
development of writing skills in teaching Turkish to foreigners.
