ABSTRACT The study of inflammatory treatment of damaged skin tissue with nutmeg oil (Myristica fragrans) is one of the ever-growing innovations. Previous studies have shown that the nutmeg oil elmulgel formulation has the potential for pain inhibitors based on compound components and is physically stable. The aim of this study was to determine the anti- inflammatory effect of nutmeg oil elmulgels on the test animal model of mice with 3% carrageenen induction. Emulgel is available with EMBP 3% (Nutmeg oil emulgel 3%), EMBP 4.5% (Nutmeg oil emulgel 4.5%), EMBP 6% (Nutmeg oil emulgel 6%). The determination of the antiinflammatory effect is done with an associated oedema inflammation, i.e., by utilizing the use of porosity to measure the thickness of the skin folds of the back of the test animal. To obtain the change in the induced dorsal fold with the agent by time interval. In can be concluded that topically administering nutmeg oil emulgel has anti- inflammatory activity. Formulas have the potential to be the highest consecutive antiinflammatory agents: EMBP 3%. Keywords: Nutmeg, anti-inflammatory, essential oil, emulgel.
