Submissionsmaydrawfromavarietyoftheoreticalapproachesand methodological perspectives and should introduce readers to new questions, new evidence, and effective educational practices. Scholarshipisencouragedthatisgroundedinknowledgeabout thecomplexityoflearningandrespectfulofstudentneedsformulti- plepathstowardunderstanding;rootedinthedisciplinarycontentof theprofessionalandacademicspecialtiesweaskourstudentstomas- ter;andcognizantofthediscipline’slong-standingcommitmenttothe artsofliberty,notthroughvagueaphorisms,butassolutionstoedu- cational,civic,andpublicneeds.
