Sofyan No. 3 Medan Hp. 081267755571, E-mail : danielematanarie@yahoo.com ** ) Staff Pengajar Program Studi Agribisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar peranan kelompok tani terhadap peningkatan produksi padi sawah di daerah penelitian serta untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan kelompok tani dan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas penerimaan bantuan sarana produksi dari kelompok tani kepada anggota kelompok tani. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, metode skoring, dan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan kelompok tani terhadap peningkatan produksi padi sawah di daerah penelitian adalah tinggi, tingkat motivasi petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan kelompok tani adalah tinggi dan penerimaan sarana bantuan produksi terhadap anggota kelompok tani berjalan efektif. ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find out how big the role of farmer groups to increase rice production in the area of research as well as to determine the level of motivation in participating in the activities of farmers and farmer groups to determine the level of effectiveness in receiving inputs from farmer groups to members of farmer groups, methods of data analyze is descriptive, scoring methods, and the likert scale. The results showed that role of farmer groups to rice production in the study area is high, the level of motivation of farmers in participating in the activities of farmer groups is high with, and the acceptance of the means of production aid to members of farmer groups operating effectively.
