UV–vis and fluorescence spectra were recorded on Simadzu UV-2450 and perkin Elmer LS55 respectively. All the spectral studies were performed at 5 micromolar concentration. Solvents and chemicals were purchased from commercial resources and used without further purification. Spectroscopic grade solvents were used for photophysical studies. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and DSC was recorded on a Perkin Elmer Pyris 1 and NETZSCH STA449 F1 JUPITER instrument under nitrogen atmosphere at a heating rate of 10 °C/min.
