REFLECTING ON GENDER INCLUSION WITH UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS MAJORING IN MATHEMATICS Raphael Rodrigues da Silva Teixeira SEE – MG phael19@live Edmilson Minoru Torisu Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto – UFOP edmilson@ufop.edu.br Resumo O texto do artigo apresenta um recorte de pesquisa cujo principal objetivo foi investigar contribuições que um conjunto de encontros, voltados à discussão sobre inclusão de gênero em Matemática, trouxe para a formação de um grupo de estudantes de um curso de licenciatura em Matemática de uma universidade pública de Minas Gerais. Os encontros, nos moldes do grupo focal, ocorreram por meio da plataforma Google Meet com cinco estudantes, quatro mulheres e um homem. Os conceitos centrais norteadores dos encontros foram inclusão, gênero e inclusão de gênero. Os resultados revelaram algumas contribuições para a formação dos estudantes. Eles e elas passaram a compreender: a necessidade de um olhar crítico sobre situações de discriminação contra a mulher, inclusive em Matemática, e a necessidade de caminhar em uma direção que mude comportamentos e de praticar ações que levem a isso; que a discussão de gênero pode ser inserida na pauta de inclusão; que eles estão fazendo história em termos de avanços na formação do futuro professor de Matemática; a importância das pesquisas; que os estereótipos de gênero contribuem para processos de exclusão da mulher. Abstract This paper presents a research study clipping whose main objective was to investigate contributions that a set of meetings, focused on the discussion on gender inclusion in Mathematics, brought to the training of a group of undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics at a public university in Minas Gerais. The meetings, within the scope of a focus group, took place through Google Meet platform with five students, four women and one man. The central guiding concepts of the meetings were inclusion, gender, and gender inclusion. The results revealed some contributions to the students' education. They came to understand: The need for a critical look at situations of discrimination against women, including in Mathematics, and the need to move in a direction that changes behaviors and to take actions that lead to this; that the gender discussion can be included in the inclusion agenda; that they are making history in terms of advances in the training of future
