Foram instaladas parcelas experimentais no ano de 2014, com intensidades de 30%, 40% e 50%. Os valores obtidos pelas variáveis diâmetro a altura do peito, altura total, área transversal e volume, foram submetidos à análise de variância e as médias de cada tratamento comparadas pelo Teste Tukey, a 5% de probabilidade. As intensidades de desbastes aplicadas não se diferenciaram significativamente em nenhuma das variáveis testadas. Palavras – chave: Desenvolvimento, Espécie exótica, agrossilvicultura, Mato Grosso. THINNING SELECTIVE IN A PLANTATION OF Tectona grandis IN AGROFOREST SYSTEM ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the intensity of the first selective thinning for Teak (Tectona grandis) in a system of crop-livestock-forest integration. Experimental parcels were installed in April 2014, with intensities of 30%, 40% and 50%. The values obtained from the variables diameter at breast height, total height, cross- sectional area and volume, were subjected to analysis of variance and the means of each treatment compared by Tukey test at 5% probability.
