BASASTRA Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya Volume 7 Nomor 2, Oktober 2019, ISSN 2302-6405 33 NOVEL ATHIRAH KARYA ALBERTHIENE ENDAH SEBAGAI MATERI AJAR SASTRA: PSIKOLOGI SASTRA DAN NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER Dhian Rahmawati, Muhammad Rohmadi, Raheni Suhita Universitas Sebelas Maret Surel: dhianrahmawati41@gmail.com Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan: (1) unsur intrisnik yang terkandung dalam novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah, (2) karakteristik kejiwaan tokoh utama dalam novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah, (3) nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah, dan (4) relevansi novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah sebagai materi pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai dari bulan Januari 2017 hingga Juni 2019. Sumber data berasal dari dokumen, yaitu novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah yang diterbitkan oleh Noura Books pada tahun 2016. Selain sumber data utama digunakan sumber lain yaitu buku teori dan jurnal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk pengambilan sampel. Keabsahan data diuji dengan teknik triangulasi sumber data, dan expert judgement, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunaka analaisis dokumen dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis data terhadap novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah disimpulkan bahwa terdapat keterikatan antara unsur tema, alur atau plot, tokoh dan penokohan, latar dan setting, sudut pandang pengarang (point of view) dan amanat. Karakteristik novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah dibagi dalam id, ego, dan superego. Novel Athirah banyak mengandung muatan nilai pendidikan karakter yang tinggi dan relevan untuk materi pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) kelas XII semester II. ATHIRAH NOVEL BY ALBERTHIENE ENDAH AS LITERATURE LEARNING MATERIAL: PSYCHOLOGICAL LITERATURE AND CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE Abstract: This aims of this research are to describe and explain: (1) the intellectual elements which contained in Athirah novel created by Alberthiene Endah, (2) psychological characteristics of the main characters in the Athirah created by Alberthiene Endah, (3) character education values in the Athirah created by Alberthiene Endah, and (4) the relevance of Athirah as a literature learning material in high school. This research is a kind of qualitative descriptive research using a psychology literary approach. The research was conducted from January 2017 to June 2019. The source of the data is Alberthiene Endah's novel named Athirah. Other main sources of data were used, are theory books and journals. This study used a purposive sampling technique. The validity of the data was tested using data source triangulation techniques, and expert judgment, while the data collection techniques used document analysis and interviews. Data analysis used an interactive analysis model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of data analysis, the Athirah novel by Alberthiene Endah, there was an attachment between elements of the theme, plot or plot, character and characterization, setting and setting, point of view and mandate. The characteristics of the Athirah novel by Alberthiene Endah are divided into id, ego, and superego. Athirah novels contain a lot of high-value and relevant character education content for literary learning material in high school.
