What matters is how well children can apply what they have learned in real life. Over the past 20 years, PISA has become a key criterion for measuring the effectiveness and quality of education in different countries and a program that has led to education reform. Keywords: PISA, international research, international assessment program, creativity, cognition, interdisciplinary integration. INTRODUCTION The fact that in recent years, as a result of reforms in our country, huge economic growth rates have been achieved, the demand for qualified personnel and mature professionals in all areas is growing. This, in turn, requires that our students become more interested in the lessons and that teachers pay more attention to comprehensive education. The fact that the above requirements are very important for the education system means that, as in most foreign countries, it is necessary to attract best practices to improve the quality of education by assessing and monitoring the development of education and science. What does participation in international research on the quality of education mean for Uzbekistan? • The results of the research allow us to draw conclusions about the quality of education in the country and its role, taking into account international standards. • Reform the national education system, improve the content of education, training and professional development programs for teachers, and create a new generation of textbooks by professionals. • International research has a positive impact on the quality of national research in education. • Allows the creation of a national evaluation system based on high economic efficiency at the level of international standards.
