ANO 2023 ISSN 2674-5976 ISAAC NEWTON E O ARCO-ÍRIS: REFLETINDO NA RELAÇÃO ENTRE CIÊNCIA E RELIGIÃO Isaac Newton and the rainbow: reflecting on the relationship between science and religion Lucas Peres Guimarães 1 Denise Leal de Castro 2 Resumo: É notória a importância de divulgar ao conhecimento científico para a população e o processo de construção desse ao longo da história, tendo em vista que é necessário levar aos estudantes o quanto mais novos possíveis que a sua construção não foi algo linear, e que a utilização de episódios históricos podem fazer. O presente artigo apresenta uma estratégia didática elaborada sobre a utilização da história da ciência para o ensino através do episódio histórico de Isaac Newton e o arco-íris ressaltando a relação entre ciência e religião em um grupo colaborativo. Tal abordagem necessita ser explorada desde o início da escolarização das crianças, pois permite que elas desenvolvam de forma gradativa, um entendimento sobre o que é e como se faz ciências. Foi organizado um grupo colaborativo com professoras polivalentes dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, que inicialmente tinham problemas em trabalhar ciências por conta de visões religiosas, e assim foram realizados encontros para uma discussão mais ampla das possibilidades e limites da história da ciência, e uma produção desse grupo é a estratégia didática apresentada nesse artigo. Abstract: It is notorious the importance of bringing to the population scientific knowledge and the process of its construction throughout history, considering that it is necessary to bring to the students as young as possible that its construction was not something linear, and that the use of historical episodes can do. The present article presents a didactic strategy developed on the use of the history of science for teaching through the historical episode of Isaac Newton and the rainbow highlighting the relationship between science and religion in a collaborative group, such approach needs to be explored from the beginning of children's schooling, because it allows them to develop gradually, an understanding of what science is and how it is done. A collaborative group was organized with generalist teachers from the early years of elementary school, who initially had problems working with science because of religious views, and thus meetings were held for a broader discussion of the possibilities and limits of the history of science, and a production of this group is the didactic strategy presented in this article. 1 Professor de ciências da Prefeitura Municipal de Barra Mansa.
