ABSTRACT
As a publicly required course in colleges and universities, basic computer education is of great
significance in improving its teaching quality, which helps to cultivate students' application abilities
and improve students' comprehensive literacy. At present, there are still some problems in basic
computer teaching in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities should rationally arrange
computer course content, enrich the teaching sections of computer teachers, strengthen the connection
between computer theory teaching and practical teaching, and establish and improve assessment and
evaluation mechanisms, promote the development and progress of advanced computer teaching.

1. INTRODUCTION
The vigorous development of information
technology has put forward higher requirements
for basic computer teaching in colleges and
universities. How to improve the current situation
of computer basic teaching and improve the
effectiveness of computer basic teaching has
become a key topic that computer teachers in
colleges and universities generally pay attention
to. This paper analyzes the current situation of
computer basic teaching in colleges and
universities and puts forward some
countermeasures, which are of great significance
for improving the efficiency and quality of
computer basic teaching.
2. CURRENT SITUATION OF BASIC COMPUTER
TEACHING IN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
2.1. The update speed of computer course
content is too fast
In recent years, under the background of the rapid
development of computers, the content of
computer courses in colleges and universities has
also accelerated the update speed, and more and
more teaching contents have been poured into the
teaching materials of computer courses in colleges
and universities. Although it has improved the fun
of classroom teaching to a certain extent and
practicability, some disadvantages cannot be
ignored. First of all, the teaching content has been
continuously enriched, but the teaching hours
have not changed much. As a result, within a
limited time, teachers have to complete more
teaching tasks, and teachers can only blindly catch
up with the progress while ignoring the teaching
quality. Secondly, the update speed of the
computer course content is too fast, while the
course content of some other related majors is
updated slowly, so it is difficult to achieve organic
integration between courses. Finally, due to the
uneven economic development between different
regions in our country, there are also large
differences in the investment in educational
resources. As computer technology develops,
software and hardware equipment are updated
and upgraded accordingly, however, some
colleges and universities in areas with slow
economic development do not have enough
financial strength to update and upgrade these
software and hardware equipment promptly,
resulting in large differences in computer skills
among students.
2.2. Computer teachers lack diversified
teaching methods
At present, the teaching of computer courses in
most colleges and universities is divided into
theoretical teaching and practical teaching. In the
