Este problema derivó a que distintas organizaciones se interesen para crear un registro único permanente para los autores, como ser: ORCID (Open Researcher and Contribution ID), ResearcherID, Scopus Author ID, autores Redalyc, DOI (Digital Object Identifer), VIAF (Virtual International Authority File) e ISNI (International Standard Name Identifer). En los últimos años, ORCID se posesiona como una de las mayores posibilidades de universalizarse para lograr la visibilidad y el posicionamiento de los autores dedicados a la investigación. Asimismo, elevar el nivel académico de las universidades e instituciones de ciencia y tecnología en el contexto internacional. El uso del sistema digital único de identifcación es una vía apropiada para la fliación correcta de un autor. La cual facilita el control individual e institucional de la producción científca, y es un paso positivo para perfeccionar la gestión de la investigación. Abstract The constant publication of research works in different journals, makes it diffcult to correctly identify and recover the scientifc production of the researchers. This problem led to different organizations interested in creating a permanent single registry for authors, such as: ORCID (Open Researcher and Contribution ID), ResearcherID, Scopus Author ID, authors Redalyc, DOI (Digital Object Identifer), VIAF (Virtual International Authority File) and ISNI (International Standard Name Identifer). In recent years, ORCID has become one of the greatest possibilities to become universal in order to achieve the visibility and positioning of authors dedicated to research. Also, raise the academic level of universities and science and technology institutions in the international context. The use of the unique digital identifcation system is an appropriate way for the correct fliation of an author. Which facilitates the individual and institutional control of scientifc production, and is a positive step to improve the management of research.
