CV Arindo is one of the businesses owned by individuals engaged in the field of sand and stone mining. One very important component in mining operations is the need for diesel fuel. Use of fuel which is useless resulting in frequent occurrence of fuel stock vacancies. Some factors that affect fuel consumption include distance and slope factors. The study of the effect of distance and road slope on fuel consumption aims to determine the average fuel consumption required by the Mitsubishi Fuso 517 HS conveyance, analyze the effect of road distance and slope on fuel consumption and determine recommendations for multiple linear equations of road distance and slope towards fuel consumption. In this study, there are 2 mining lines that are divided into 11 road segments per path. Total fuel consumption in one month for line 1 is 1093 liters and line 2 is 1087 liters. Based on data on fuel consumption in one month, distance, slope of the road and the travel time required by the conveyance, it can be calculated the amount of power and fuel consumption of the conveyance for each road segment. The results of 22 fuel consumption data samples for each road segment were tested using multiple linear regression analysis together with distance and slope variables. The results of multiple linear regression equations with (fuel consumption), X1 (distance), and X2 (slope) obtained the regression equation; The condition of the loaded conveyance ˆ Y = 0,028 + 0,209 X 1 + 0,282 X 2 , where each additional distance of 1 km, fuel consumption will increase 0.209 liters and each incline increase of 1%, fuel consumption will increase 0.282 liters. The condition of the conveyance is empty ˆ Y = 0,038 + 0,143 X 1 - 0,077 X 2 , where each additional distance of 1 km the fuel consumption will increase 0.143 liters and each decrease of 1% then the fuel consumption increases 0.077 liters. Simultaneous and partial hypothesis test, states that distance and slope are proven to have a significant effect on fuel consumption. So the results of the analysis of multiple linear regression equations can be recommended for their application in the field. Keywords: Distance, Slope, Fuel Consumption Abstrak.
