Towards that, we can develop a Pancha Pallava (five petals) framework of linguistic programs with five aspects of the UG or PG Linguistics program through five components of courses in the same program. Based on this model, UG and PG programs in linguistics can be developed. Indian linguistics heritage can be integrated with all courses in a program instead of being an additional course. In addition, some best practices that have been experimented with in the Dept of Linguistics at the Central University of Kerala are presented. Content 1. Introduction 2. Linguistics in India: 3.
