Primary cultures of IMEC isolated from rat islets of Langerhans. IMEC were seeds and growth as described under " Materials and Methods " and images were obtained under ZEISS LSM710 microscope. B. vWF (red)- and Dapi (blue)-stained primary IMEC. IMEC were seeded on collagen-coated glass slides. The cells were fixed and stained with anti- vWF at room temperature for 45 minutes, washed and incubated with second anti-rabbit IgG Alexa fluor 647 red antibody (1:150), and incubated at room temperature for 30 minutes. After washing the cells were mounted with DAPI-mounting and images were taken under a fluorescence microscope, as described under “Materials and Methods”. Scale bars, 50 μm .
