Abstract
In this paper, on the basis of the analysis of the experience of using mobile devices as a learning tool described in the scientific,
pedagogical, methodological and technical literature, some didactic possibilities of their use in the educational process are revealed and
their descriptions are given. The possibilities of mobile technologies to support the traditional educational process (both during the
lesson and during homework) in educational institutions to improve the quality of education are discussed. The issues of using
multimedia educational web resources, quick access to educational sites and other educational resources, the use and development of
personalized training materials for mobile communication platforms, the use of mobile technologies in the educational process of
educational institutions through the use of modern communication channels are being studied. The main advantages and some
disadvantages of the use of mobile learning in education are analyzed.

INTRODUCTION
The development of scientific and technological achievements in
the field of information technology in society does not go
unnoticed by all the technical achievements that are increasingly
enticing with their capabilities and convenience. Every year,
more advanced technologies and applications appear on the
market, and the number of users is increasing, especially among
young people.
Mobile technologies are introduced and used by society
everywhere, starting from everyday life and including all spheres
of society: in everyday life, in the economy, in business, in
management, in education. The range of application of the
capabilities of mobile technologies is constantly expanding,
becoming accessible and easily used [7, 2019].
Mobile technologies allow, in addition to providing
communication regardless of the user's location, to plan their
activities, receive and disseminate information, keep abreast of
news, business projects, manage their personal business, train
and study, perform work distantly, store a large amount of
information, which can be accessible everywhere and always.
In 2013, UNESCO, together with the UNESCO Institute for
Information Technologies in Education, published the “UNESCO
Recommendations on Mobile Learning Policies”, which explained
in detail the need for the introduction of mobile technologies in
the educational process [36, 2013]. However, at the moment
there is no sustainable introduction and application of mobile
technologies in the educational process, which is associated with
the lack of awareness of the capabilities of mobile technologies,
the lack of teaching materials for the use of educational
applications on mobile platforms.
Analysis of the concept of “mobile learning” from various
sources, such as a UNESCO publication [36, 2013], as well as
definitions given by I.N. Golitsina and N.L. Polovnikova [3, 2011],
one can single out the general trend of mobile learning - this is
the use of mobile technologies in the learning process. The
introduction of mobile technologies in the educational process is
called mobile learning or m-Learning, which implies the use of
mobile technologies in the educational process, both individually
and in combination with other teaching methods and
information and communication technologies [36, 2013].
In a broad sense, mobile technologies are technologies based on
the use of mobile (wearable) devices and wireless
communications that provide access to the global network. By
mobile learning, we mean solving a set of educational tasks using
mobile technologies. In this sense, mobile learning is a
subspecies of e-learning, along with distance learning [35, 2013].
Mobile training involves the assimilation by students of specially
organized teaching materials, access to which is carried out using
mobile technologies and devices. This approach is reflected in
the following definitions:
“Mobile training - e-learning using mobile devices, independent
of time and place, using special software on a pedagogical basis
of interdisciplinary and modular approaches” [4, 2010];
“Mobile training is a form of organization of the educational
process based on the use of mobile computer devices and
wireless communications” [6, 2006];
“Mobile training is the use of common portable devices in
conjunction with wireless and mobile communications to
facilitate, support, enhance and expand the field of teaching and
learning” [28, 2019].
