Email: wayansetem@isi-dps.ac.id 1 , ngurahputra2808@gmail.com 2 , wayansukarya@isi-dps.ac.id 3 ABSTRAK Desa Mambang, Kecamatan Silemadeng Timur, Kabupaten Tabanan memiliki permasalahan pengelolaan persampahan dikarenakan sistem yang terbentuk tidak berjalan dengan baik. Selain itu diperparah dengan rendahnya kesadaran warga pada pengolahan sampah yang baik. Dengan kondisi tersebut maka muncul Gerakan Anak-anak Peduli Sampah Plastik (Gapsap) sebagai relawan memungut sampah yang telah berlangsung sejak 2014. Namun gerakan tersebut belum mampu mengolah dan memanfaatkan sampah plastik yang sudah dipunggut sehingga volumenya semakin menumpuk di tempat penampungan sementara. Begitu juga minimnya pengetahuan tentang wirausaha, terutama pengembangan produk handycraf dari sampah plastik. Untuk itu maka diperlukan suatu terobosan pemanfaatan timbunan sampah plastik yang sudah terkumpul menjadi ecobricks dan pengembangan produksi usaha berbahan daur ulang sampah plastik. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan melalui tahapan yaitu sosialisasi, koordinasi, pelatihan/ pendampingan, dan penyuluhan. Hasil program ini adalah kemampuan pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi ecobricks dan pengembangan produk handycraf. Sedangkan dampak program ini yakni penurunan jumlah sampah plastik tidak terolah yang berimplikasi terhadap semakin besarnya kesadaran warga masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah, serta dapat menjadi pilot project dan best practice pengelolaan sampah. ABSTRACT Mambang Village, East Silemadeng District, Tabanan Regency has problems with waste management because the system that was formed did not work well. In addition, it is exacerbated by the low awareness of citizens on good waste management. Under these conditions, the Children’s Movement for Plastic Waste Care (Gapsap) emerged as a volunteer to pick up garbage which has been going on since 2014. However, the movement has not been able to process and utilize the collected plastic waste so that the volume continues to accumulate in temporary shelters. Likewise, the lack of knowledge about entrepreneurship, especially the development of handicraft products from plastic waste. For this reason, a breakthrough is needed in the use of plastic waste that has been collected into ecobricks and the development of business production made from recycled plastic waste. The community service method is carried out through stages, namely socialization, coordination, training/assistance, and counseling. The results of this program are the ability to process plastic waste into ecobricks and the development of handycraft products. Meanwhile, the impact of this program is the reduction in the amount of unprocessed plastic waste, which has implications for the greater awareness of citizens in waste management, and can become a pilot project and best practice in waste management.
