Abstract: The central premise of the book titled “Subliminal Leadership: Why It Is as Important as
Emotional Intelligence” emphasizes the utmost significance of comprehending the potential of sub-
liminal influence to guide and direct others effectively. The theoretical framework of this book en-
compasses a range of notions and definitions about subliminal influence, leadership, and motivation.
The author endeavors to explicate these pivotal concepts in a lucid and accessible manner. In doing
so, he introduces a revolutionary, interdisciplinary approach to influence and leadership, which re-
veals the concealed underworld of influence. As stated by the book, by acquiring a profound under-
standing of the potency of subliminal influence, leaders are capable of inspiring and motivating indi-
viduals to surpass expectations and perform at their utmost potential.
Keywords: emotional intelligence; leadership; organization; psychology of leadership; subliminal
leadership
The book’s author, Dr. Frankl, studied economics at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians
University. Over the past decade, he has taught leadership, corporate governance, and
strategic management at business schools and universities in Switzerland. Based on that
background and his general understanding of leadership theoretical frameworks, he has
developed a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to understanding and apply-
ing subliminal influence in leadership through the pages of this book in 15 chapters.

To develop a theoretical framework for his book, Frankl has conducted a thorough
literature review to determine how other researchers have defined key concepts and
drawn connections between them. He has compared and critically evaluated the ap-
proaches taken by different authors to establish the definitions that best fit his research
and justify why. By combining existing theories and concepts in the fields of psychology,
sociology, and organizational behavior, Frankl could have built his unique framework to
explain the power of subliminal influence in leadership.
The book makes a contribution to the current body of scholarly work in this particular
area by presenting a lucid and easily understandable elucidation of the frequently disre-
garded notion of subliminal impact within the framework of leadership. The discoveries
and assertions put forth by the publication possess numerous ramifications for subsequent
investigations within this domain.
By expanding the understanding of leadership, the book focuses on subliminal influ-
ence in leadership. It can inspire future research to explore the role of subconscious pro-
cesses in leadership and decision-making, potentially leading to a more comprehensive
understanding of leadership dynamics.
The book also explores how subliminal influence and emotional intelligence are con-
nected. By suggesting that subliminal influence is just as crucial as emotional intelligence,
it prompts further exploration into how these two factors interact and impact each other in
leadership settings.
