MAREK DEBNÁR Kánon a jeho funkcie v digitálnom výskume literatúry Marek Debnár Abstrakt: Súčasný digitálny výskum literatúry predpokladá dostupnosť digitálnych verzií literárnych diel, t. j. relatívne komplexnú a reprezentatívnu digitálnu kolekciu literárnych textov, ktorá slúži ako referenčný rámec pre konkrétne skúmanie špecifík jednotlivých autorských písaní alebo literárnoestetických kvalít určitého obdobia. Čiže samotný korpus textov formuje v istom zmysle a na širšom základe nový kánon literatúry určitého obdobia. Ak chceme napríklad skúmať jedinečnosť autorského štýlu Bohumila Hrabala, je nevyhnutné porovnať jeho dielo s akousi po- myselnou normou či kánonom prozaických štýlov jeho doby alebo širšieho obdobia (napríklad s inými sto románmi českej prózy 20. storočia). Jednou zo základných a nevyhnutných vlastností takejto univerzálnej zbierky či výberu je jej vyváženosť, ktorá sa okrem iných ukazovateľov vyvodzuje z kánonicity v nej obsiahnutých textov. Príspevok sa zameriava na špecifcké chápania kánonu v kvantitatívnych výskumoch literatúry. Kľúčové slová: korpus, kánon, digitálny výskum literatúry, dištančné čítanie, digi- tálna textová zbierka Abstract: The Canon and it’s Functions in Digital Research of Literature. – Con- temporary digital research on literature presupposes the availability of digital ver- sions of literary works. In other words, a relatively comprehensive and representa- tive digital collection of literary texts that serves as a frame of reference for the concrete investigation of the specifcs of individual authors or the literary-aesthetic qualities of a particular period. The corpus of texts itself forms a broader basis, a new canon of the literature of a particular period. For example, if we want to inves- tigate the uniqueness of the authorial style of Bohumil Hrabal, it is necessary to compare his work with a kind of imaginary norm or canon of prose styles of his time or of a broader period (e.g. with other hundred novels of Czech prose of the 20th century). One of the essential and indispensable characteristics of such a universal collection or selection is its balance, which is derived, among other indicators, from the canonicity of the texts it contains. The paper focuses on the specifcs of the un- derstanding of the canon in quantitative research of literature.
